Donating to us

When you donate to us, you are asked to provide your name, address, email address, phone number and payment details. This personal data is collected by a third-party company based inside the EU called Charity Checkout (owned by Online Giving Ltd.), whose service we use take donations. If you give them permission to do so, Charity Checkout will share this data (excluding your payment details) with us. Any data you provide is stored on secure servers by both Charity Checkout and Peacebuilding UK.

As an EU-based company, Charity Checkout are subject to EU data protection regulations. For the purposes of GDPR, Charity Checkout is deemed the ‘Data Controller’ and Peacebuilding UK the ‘Data Processor’. Who do we share your information with?

Peacebuilding UK will never share, sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes without your prior consent. We will ask for your consent to share personal information with organisations we are in partnership with. These requests will be specific to the individual organisation so that your consent decision is informed.

We make sure anyone who provides a service for Peacebuilding UK enters into an agreement with us and meets our standards for data security. They will not use your data for anything other than the clearly defined purpose relating to the service that they are providing.

How do we protect your data?

Peacebuilding UK is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us. We adopt robust and appropriate technologies and policies, so the information we have about you is protected from unauthorised access and improper use e.g. your online account is encrypted and our own network is protected.

Accessing your data

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
